End of Sale and End of Support for On-Site OPSWAT Products


OPSWAT, Inc. (“OPSWAT”) provides a portfolio of security products and platforms to protect our customers and users from content and device-based threats. From time to time, OPSWAT may determine it necessary to discontinue specific products or versions of OPSWAT products which customers and users download from the OPSWAT Portal or OPSWAT cloud services (in either case, On-Site products).

Note: These guidelines do not apply to OPSWAT cloud services (such as MetaAccess and MetaDefender Cloud) themselves but do apply to OPSWAT products which can be downloaded from or used to interact with these cloud services.

In order to help customers and users manage any transitions associated with On-Site product discontinuation, including any implications for support, we developed the following guidelines. OPSWAT may update these guidelines at any time.

End of Sale

OPSWAT considers a commercial On-Site product at End of Sale when either it can no longer be ordered from OPSWAT or OPSWAT resellers, or it is marketed as being End of Sale. When possible OPSWAT will provide recommendations on a migration strategy to another OPSWAT product which provides comparable features with End of Sale products.

OPSWAT will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide three (3) months’ advanced notice of an affected On-Site products End of Sale Date.

During the support cycle, OPSWAT will provide fixes for defects in End Of Sale On-Site products when there is no workaround and the defect is preventing the use of the product. Fixes will be provided in the next release of the product after confirmation of the defect.

Certain On-Site products, such as OPSWAT Central Management and those listed as free or non-commercial at https://www.opswat.com/free-tools and are available for free usage and accordingly do not have a formal End of Sale Date.

End of Support for Commercial On-Site Products

End of Support is defined as when support and updates are no longer available for an On-Site product. This policy applies to OPSWAT On-Site products only.

Once a commercial On-Site product has reached its End of Support date, OPSWAT does not offer new professional service and support contracts for that product. Typically, the OPSWAT product End of Support date is eighteen (18) months after the End of Sale date. Refer to the specific commercial On-Site product End of Sale announcement for specific dates. OPSWAT considers a commercial On-Site product to be at End of Support when the published End of Support date is reached.

End of Support for Free On-Site Products

OPSWAT may end support for free On-Site products at any time and without notice.
