Why doesn't OPSWAT MetaAccess show me latest available operating system for my Android device?

OPSWAT MetaAccess is able to detect the latest available version of Android that has been released by Google, but it is unable to determine when your phone's manufacturer or service carrier has made it available specifically for your device.

Most carriers take the official version released by Google and adapt it to their specific requirements, customizing the interface, adding special features and exclusive applications. This process can take many months. At some point carriers stop making these upgrades available to older devices entirely.

Because this process is handled differently by every carrier, for each of their devices, it is impossible for OPSWAT MetaAccess to discover and maintain this information.
