What are the different device statuses and what do they mean?

When you click on a device in the Inventory > Devices on the MetaAccess console, the status of this device will appear in the top-right of the screen as the below screenshot.

The device statuses available are: Agent Installed, Compliant, Non-Compliant, Exempted, Out of license usage, Ignored, and Unknown.

  • Agent Installed: Device has the MetaAccess agent installed successfully.

  • Compliant: Device complies with a defined policy on the MetaAccess console.

  • Non-Compliant: Device does NOT comply with a defined policy on the MetaAccess console..

  • Exempted: Device may not comply with a defined policy on the MetaAccess console but an administrator has "whitelisted" this device.

  • Out of license usage: Your account has gone over the Device Limit. Options are to uninstall agent on devices or contact OPSWAT Sales to upgrade your license limits.

  • Unknown: There seems to be no MetaAccess agent installed on the device.

  • Ignored: An unknown device has been ignored by the account's administrators.

From there, you are also able to view detailed remediation page which your users can see with guideline how to remediate issues by clicking on View remediation page.
