How can I capture custom information from end-users?
As of May 23, 2017, MetaAccess is able to capture custom information, such as an email address, student ID, or a telephone number, from your end-users. You can specify what kind of information is needed and validate it using a regular expression string.
How does it works?
As long as you enable this feature, the MetaAccess will enforce end-users input their information which matches with the regular expression string you specified on MetaAccess console. On devices, an end-user will see a popup to tell her/him input information.

Note that the message on the above popups is defined on your MetaAccess account.
After the end-user inputs their information, it will be reported to the MetaAccess servers and you can view it from a device details view
or you can search devices which uses a specific information
How to enable it?

Log into MetaAccess console

Navigate to Settings > Global Settings

On Advanced tab, check "Enable custom information capture"

Specify a regular expression string to validate user input to make sure that the end-user enters your desired information. You can use any regular expression online to test your regular expression.

Specify a message you want to show to your end-users to let them know what information they should enter.

Click "SAVE"

How to update regular expression string to validate user input or the message to show to end-users?

Log into MetaAccess console

Navigate to Settings > Global Settings

On Advanced tab, look for "Enable custom information capture"

Update the regular expression string or the message.

Click "SAVE"

Enter your PIN to confirm the action
If you make change on regular expression, it will enforce all end-user re-enter their custom information.
How to enforce an end-users re-enter custom information?

Log into MetaAccess console

Navigate to the Inventory > Devices

Search devices you want to enforce end-users re-enter custom information

Select devices you want to do so

Click on Actions, select "Re-Identity"

Enter your PIN to confirm the action
How to clear all captured custom information?

Log into MetaAccess console

Navigate to Settings > Global Settings

On Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable custom information capture"

Click "SAVE"
