The anti-malware engines we use on MetaDefender Cloud are SDK and CLI packages using signature, heuristic-based and machine learning detection methods. These methods can be configured differently, affecting the sensitivity of detection. For this reason, as well as because of the variability in how other multi-scanning providers setup their configurations, the results we show here may not match exactly with the results you would observe from other setups.
In short - there isn't a "right" or "wrong" configuration. It is about setting the detection sensitivity for the appropriate use-case, that balances false-positives and actual threat detection.
