What encryption mechanisms are used?

MetaDefender Cloud has a highly secure infrastructure to make sure user data is stored safely. Uploaded files are stored on AWS S3 buckets and encrypted using the AES-256 algorithm, and the servers processing files all use encrypted storage volumes. All user files are automatically encrypted when stored.

All communication done via REST API uses HTTPS encryption.

MetaDefender Cloud provides encryption features that are subject to the EAR and other U.S. laws. These features have been approved for export from the United States, subject to certain requirements and limitations.
