The default behavior of the Kiosk Secure Image is to not allow connections to Public networks and only allow connections to Private or Domain networks. The following instructions will provide a work around in case a Kiosk Secure Image needs to be connected to a Public network.
Open gpedit.msc by pressing Windows Key + R then type "gpedit.msc" and click "OK"
This will open Local Group Policy Editor.
Navigate to Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security, then click on "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security - Local Group Policy Object". After the right panel loads, click the link for "Windows Defender Firewall Properties" in the "Overview" section.
In the Windows Defender Firewall properties popup, select the "Public Profile" tab, then go to the "Settings" section and click the "Customize..." button.
In the "Customize Settings..." popup, go to the "Unicast Response" section and change the "Allow unicast response:" value to "Yes (default)"
Click OK, then OK again to close the Windows Defender Firewall Properties popups. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the task bar to open the list of wi-fi networks and disconnect then reconnect to your Public wi-fi network.
