If your MetaDefender Core instance is installed on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, there is a known issue that can cause delays in MetaDefender Core start-up. Metadefender Core uses an embedded MongoDB database to log scan results. On Windows7 and Windows 2008 R2, memory initialization by MongoDB can be adversely affected by an issue identified by Microsoft and addressed via a hotfix available in this Microsoft support KB article.
