Enabling IIS Logging

By default, Internet Information Services (IIS) logging is disabled in the Metadefender Core REST server. In order to enable IIS logging, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the the REST\Config folder inside Metadefender Core's installation directory and open the applicationhost.config file. For example: C:\Program Files(x86)\OPSWAT\Metadefender Core X\REST\Config\applicationhost.config.

  2. Uncomment these 2 properties in the applicationhost.config file.

Restart the Metadefender Core REST server using the following steps:

Using the Windows Control Panel:

  1. Go to Start > Administrative Tools and click Services . (In Windows 10, open the Control Panel and click System and Security > Administrative Tools and then double-click Services .)

  2. In the Services panel, right-click on Metascan REST Service and click Start .

Using the command line:

  1. Open a command prompt.

  2. To stop the service, execute the ‘net stop omsrest’ command.

  3. To restart the service, execute the ‘net start omsrest’ command.
