Can MetaDefender Core v3 scan attachments from within a PDF file?
MetaDefender Core has aimed with two technologies to detect and process malware within a PDF target file:

Deep CDR: This technology sanitizes all potential or unknown threats from target files such as PDF, Office documents and over 90+ others. Deep CDR can be enabled and configured through the MetaDefender Core’s workflow rule.

Multi-scanning: MetaDefender Core delegates the scanning to the various AV engines, many of which are capable of detecting threats in a PDF file. According to our testing, the following engines can scan attachments from within a PDF file:
