4.7.9 MetaDefender Email Gateway Security release

MetaDefender Email Gateway Security 4.7.9 is a maintenance release focusing on performance tuning and other minor improvements and fixes.

Alert when blocked sanitized content is delivered to recipient(s)

MetaDefender Email Gateway Security now supports a new option to send email alerts when an email with blocked sanitized content is delivered to email recipient(s). With this option Email Gateway Security can warn administrators of such an event.

Override option to bypass email modification failure

MetaDefender Email Gateway Security can now be configured to bypass email modification in the unlikely event where the product fails to apply its regular modifications. In this case the product will still attempt to apply the bypass disclaimer informing the user of the issue.

Failure to download sanitized content from MetaDefender Core

MetaDefender Email Gateway Security could randomly encounter 404 (Not Found) returned by MetaDefender Core while attempting to download sanitized content (with a subsequent scan failure and retry). This fix should eliminate or dramatically reduce the risk of these occurrences.

Email(s) can be stuck in Reprocessing/Resending state

In case of an abnormal/unexpected service termination, some emails could end up stuck in Reprocessing/Resending state.

Duplicate processing history entries

The processing history entry ' EmailReceived' could be duplicated for quarantined emails.
